Introduction
The overgrown world of grubs, more commonly known as The Garden, is a vast place. It is home to many types of flora and fauna, some not even from the Garden, but most of all, it’s home to Garden Grubs!
To us, the garden would seem like it’s been taken over by all sorts of odd megaflora- from grass blades the size of redwoods, to apple trees the size of berry bushes. Of course though, that’s not all! Among the greenery are the splashes of color that many plants take on. It’s not uncommon to see leaves in blue, purple, and pink, and as the year progresses and the seasons change, the biomes that Garden flora and fauna call home can change drastically.
Seasons
There are three seasons in a year in the Garden; Fresh season, Shady season and Curly season! These come every year, and while their effects and severity may vary, they bring along change in the day to day lives of Grubs.
Fresh season is the greenest time of the year, in which plants are happiest and the fauna of the Garden are the most active. Characterized by frequent rains and explosions of bright color in every corner of the world, during this season is when all the flora in the garden grow tallest and brightest.
Shady season is the milder of the three seasons, in which temperatures cool and shadows deepen. The Garden prepares for change during this time. Characterized by long nights and a sun that never truly seems to reach the peak of the sky, this season is pelleted with occasional sleet and hail storms that coat the ground in slush and further weigh down broadened, heavy leaves.
Curly season is the hottest time of the year, leading to the Garden’s flora wilting and becoming brittle before recovering for the next fresh season! Characterized by drought and gravelly soils, many fauna opt to retreat underground or towards the lakes to seek cooler temperatures.
As the seasons cycle, so too do the lives of every Grub in the Garden. Grubs celebrate every season, and plenty of exciting holidays come and go throughout. No matter what may change, grubs are still grubs!
